COVID GYM Operating Policies
Rock On is extremely excited to welcome everyone back! However, it’s been a rough few months as we’re all learning to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In order to respect hygiene and social distancing rules, we have decided to open under a reservation system for the foreseeable future. We accept that the situation may change quickly and as such may need to cancel reservations with little to no notice.
Here is a list of the measures we have put in place to ensure the safest possible environment for everyone to enjoy.
Hand Washing: Visitors must disinfect their hands before entering the gym. We encourage visitors to wash or disinfect their hands frequently during their visit especially between each climb before touching their faces.
Chalk: Loose chalk is banned. Chalk must be in chalk ballsand used in bags to minimize mess.
Masks: Masks are not required, though encouraged.
Shirts and Shoes: Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times while in the gym. Climbing shoes are required.
Cleaning: Rock On staff conducts a thorough disinfectant of the whole gym once a day through a disinfecting misting. Staff will also perform continuous spot cleaning where possible to reduce infection risk around the facility.
Minimal Occupancy: Only 40 visitors will be allowed in the gym at a time.
Health Status: If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sick, cold or tired) or are in voluntary isolation, we ask that you stay home. There will be no penalty for a cancelled or postponed reservation due to health concerns. Our employees may ask you to leave the premises if they consider your health status to be at risk.
Checking In: To ensure accurate contact tracing in the event of a confirmed infection, visitors will be required to check in by barcode at the beginning of their session.
Cuts and Abrasions: Understanding that abrasions, blisters, and minor cuts are normal injuries sustained during climbing, we ask that you ensure you cover those open wounds with the provided free bandages in the dispenser on the wall by the bathrooms.
Lockers: Lockers, cubbies, and window sills can be utilized for bags and are sanitized frequently.
